The Moon and Phoenix

The Moon and Phoenix is a shop on the ancient market square of Tyre, found intact in session 1 when the party fled the blinking dogs through its door. Its name is written in Celestial. Cold silver light lies across its stock, and every piece bears the same crest: a silver bird, head turned right and wings spread, above an upward crescent, on navy and icy blue. A swarm of pixies flew out of the shop when Nyra Vail called asking its permission, and a baker’s dozen of sheep graze one of its rooms. A stone tablet behind the counter shows four roads: the phoenix to the west, the mountain to the north, the sun to the south, and the scales of the market where the shop stands.

The wares

The armor fits itself to its wearer. There is plate that does not hamper quiet movement, gleaming studded leather that aids it, and shields that twice a day lend their bearer extra protection against a harm. Every weapon in the shop is magical and glows at the Celestial command words for “moon” and “dark.” The crest amulets serve a caster as a focus. The traveling cloaks shed rain and guard an unarmored wearer.

Leif Stormcloak took plate and a shield, choosing protection over flight; Asher took a longbow; and Niðrerir took a traveling cloak in place of the one the river took.
