Nyra Vail

Nyra Vail is one of the seven bound for Sunton: a Shadar-kai rogue who keeps a journal of the road. They work small magics — illusions, an unseen hand, a summoned familiar — and know the old crafts: at Tyre’s sealed gate they built a bow-drill and raised fire by friction.

In the fight with the blinking dogs, Nyra froze the pack with the sound of an unseen predator and stepped through space, as the Shadar-kai can. It was Nyra who called out asking the Moon and Phoenix’s permission, at which its pixies flew out.
