The Stones of Saudient

The Stones of Saudient are the greatest learnings of the Saudient Celeste: a body of verses and insight from their sages, composed in the Saudient Mountains after the Schism and taught to the young by long oration. The cloak-rule the Celeste live by in the present age — “hide feathers from foe and fears from any” — is among its teachings.

Two of its verses are recorded:

Keep ye --
Hide feathers from foe and fears from any
Thy whetted blade turned ever at-ready
Satt.

Hold thee --
Take on thy cloak the weight of all bindings
Make promises few and oaths unchanging
Satt.
