Cadfael — King of the Celeste and father of Aria; his name means “battle prince.” It was he who banished his own daughter, beginning the Schism at Saudient; his rule is absolute among the Lor’Sha’Une Celeste (“the King is irrefutable; his wisdom is law”).
Aria’s lover — the stranger for whom she was decrowned: not a Celeste, and of a kind not known to any of her people. Unnamed in the sources so far. See the Schism at Saudient.
The Regency — the match or matches set out for Aria, to keep the royal Celeste line unbroken, which she refused. Whether the Regency is a person, a house, or a body is not yet established.
The scarred man — the taller of the two cloaked strangers on the ferry in session 0: scarred face, long dark hair, a sword, and spellcraft (fireballs, blasts of water, and the final unknown spell that broke the ferry apart). Gone by the waking on Tyre.
The boy with the package — the smaller cloaked stranger on the ferry: a boy by his whisper, clutching a heavy box-shaped package he would not release even while drowning. Washed up on Tyre with the party, package still in his arms. The package is a rickety wooden letter-box of old Tyre coins; on the shore he gave each of the seven a “lucky coin,” each worth perhaps five hundred pieces. His family — mother, father, brothers — is gone since an attack on their farm, and he has begged the seven for protection and passage to Sunton. He was raised on stories of shadow monsters in Tyre’s ruins and is terrified of the place; Niðrerir’s touch on his mind found that terror and nothing more. His name has not been given.
The griffin rider — burst from the clouds above the ferry and fought the blue dragon. Gone by the waking.
The blue dragon — a large blue dragon that rose from the river beneath the ferry and charged the griffin and rider. Gone by the waking.
The three shadows — humanoid shadows that emerged in Tyre’s streets during the fight with the blinking dogs in session 1 and fell upon the dogs. Their allegiance is unknown; the dogs beat them.
